The Okazaki Cat Demon Ukiyo-e Poster
A restored print from Utagawa Kuniyoshi's ghost-story diptych of the cat demon of Okazaki (around 1850), a monster cat from Edo-period kabuki that haunted a lonely temple on the Tōkaidō road. A woman turns away as a pale ghost rises behind her, ghost-fire burns, and the great cat's fur fills the shadows. It's printed from a museum scan with the original woodblock grain and faded colours, and finished with the Japanese title 岡崎の化け猫 (The Okazaki Cat Monster).
