The Nightmare Fuseli Vintage Gothic Poster

A restored print of Henry Fuseli's The Nightmare, the painting that scandalised London when it was first shown in 1782. A sleeping woman lies draped across her bed while a grinning incubus squats on her chest and a ghostly horse peers through the curtains. This is Fuseli's second, portrait version from 1790–91, printed from a museum-quality scan with the original brushwork, varnish tone and craquelure left as they are.
