Short answer: a poster of the series they're into is a good anime gift that doesn't depend on knowing their size or what they already own. Our anime posters start at £6.29 for A5 and go up to £16.19 for A3, with a Medium (A4) Framed option at £16.29. Buy 2 Get 1 Free applies to single posters, delivery is tracked across the UK and free on orders £20+, and for Christmas you should order by Wednesday 16 December for the best chance of delivery in time.
Anime fans tend to have very specific favourites, so a generic "anime" present can miss. The easy fix is to find out which series they watch or read, then pick from that. Below is what we stock, grouped by series, with the prices as they are on the site today.
What's a good anime gift under £20?
Every single anime poster we sell is under £20:
| Size | Price |
|---|---|
| Small (A5), 14.8 × 21 cm | £6.29 |
| Medium (A4), 21 × 29.7 cm | £10.79 |
| Large (A3), 29.7 × 42 cm | £16.19 |
| Medium (A4) Framed | £16.29 |
| Naruto Manga Panel Poster Set x3, A5 / A4 | £11.98 / £19.98 |
If you want to buy for more than one person, or give one person a small set, Buy 2 Get 1 Free on single posters makes three A4s cost £21.58 instead of £32.37. It's always on, so there's no need to rush for it. It doesn't cover the sets of three.
Everything is in our anime collection.
What should I get a Naruto fan?
Naruto is the biggest part of our anime range. If you want one thing to wrap, the Naruto Manga Panel Poster Set x3 puts three black and white manga panels of Naruto together. It's £11.98 for the A5 set, £19.98 for A4, £28.98 for A3 or £38.29 framed. As a set it sits outside Buy 2 Get 1 Free.
If they have a favourite character, go single. The Sasuke Uchiha 'Chidori' Poster is the one for Sasuke fans. 'The name's Rock Lee!' Manga Panel Poster is the one we'd pick for anyone who quotes Rock Lee. The Naruto Shippuden Issue 42 Cover Poster has Naruto with Jiraiya on the cover. Three singles like these are where Buy 2 Get 1 Free earns its keep.
What about One Punch Man fans?
We have both panel art and cover art. The Saitama Manga Panel Poster is Saitama mid-strike, and the One Punch Man Vol. 2 Cover Poster has Genos on the cover. If they own the manga, the cover posters (Vol. 1, 2 and 12 are on the site) will look familiar from their shelf.
Which posters suit fans of older or darker anime?
For someone into the classics, the Akira bike poster shows Kaneda's red motorbike. There's a second Akira design with a red and black eclipse if they'd like a pair.
Darker tastes are covered too. The Berserker Armor Manga Panel Poster shows Guts with his Dragon Slayer sword. The Shinigami Deal Death Note Poster has Light Yagami and Ryuk with the apple. The Berserk panel is black and white, so it sits well next to the Naruto panels if you're putting a set together. The Death Note one is in colour.
What's the best Studio Ghibli gift?
Our Ghibli posters are the gentlest designs in the anime range, which makes them a safer bet when you don't know someone's taste well. The Spirited Away Movie Poster and the Howl's Moving Castle Movie Poster are the two we'd start with. Add Tales from Earthsea and you have a Ghibli three for the price of two.
If they like Japanese art beyond anime, The Great Wave off Kanagawa Poster in our vintage collection pairs well with the Ghibli prints. For something louder, our Japanese-style kanji movie posters cover Godzilla and horror, and the rest are in Movies.
Which size should I pick?
A4 is the safe default for a bedroom or uni room. A5 at £6.29 fits in a stocking and works well in a grid of three or four. A3 is for the one poster they'll see from the door.
The Medium (A4) Framed option is on most of our posters. It's a slim black frame, about 24 × 33 cm, with a clear plastic front (not glass), and it's the only way a frame comes included. All our posters are printed on 250gsm matte paper. Our poster size guide compares the sizes properly, and how to frame an A4 poster covers using your own frame.
